on 8 February 1959, with twenty cars. <\/span><span title=\"JA des de la primera edici\u00f3, la sortida des de la Pla\u00e7a Sant Jaume va acollir multitut de visitants.\">Since the first edition, the exit from the Sant Jaume Square hosted a multitude of visitors. <\/span><span title=\"L'alcalde de Barcelona, el Sr.\">The Mayor, Mr. <\/span><span title=\"Porcioles, havia de donar la sortida, per\u00f2 per un imprevist, va ser el Sr.\">Porcioles had to give out, but a sudden, it was Mr. <\/span><span title=\"Joan Antoni Samaranch (a la dreta amb la bandera espanyola) l'encarregat de donar agafar el cam\u00ed, per aquelles dates, l'\u00fanic cam\u00ed que unia Barcelona amb Sitges, la carretera de les costes.\">The caravan took the road already, at that time, the only road linking com una prova esportiva de regularitat, durant el tram de les costes del Garraf, on els vehicles havien de mantenir la mateixa velocitat de baixada de les Costes com de pujada.\">In the beginning, the Rally was conceived as a sporting event regularity during the stretch of the Garraf coast, where the vehicles had to maintain the same rate of descent as Coasts rise. <\/span><span title=\"Aquesta \">This &#8220;sportsmanship&#8221; was regulated under the rules of the FIA.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\"><span title=\"Aquesta \"><br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"En arribar a Sitges, els participants desfilaven pel passeig de la Ribera fins arribar a la Fragata, on com a l'actualitat, s'els rebia per les autoritats i \/>Arriving in Sitges, participants marched along the Passeig de la Ribera until the Fragata, where as today, they were received by the authorities and parked cars to the pubic could admire them.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span title=\"L'exit de convocatoria del Ral\u00b7li va animar els organitzadors a organitzar les seg\u00fcents edicions, els quals van acabar de donar forma a l'actual
